Landslide [Fleetwood Mac cover]
Unclevanja’s song of the day is Landslide, a tune originally written by by Fleetwood Mac‘s Stevie Nicks. This was one of the first songs Nicks wrote for the band after she joined. It first featured on the band’s self-titled 1975 album, Fleetwood Mac.
The acoustic version of the Smashing Pumpkins has become one of the band’s fans favorite songs, complete with public endorsement from Stevie Nicks herself:
There’s nothing more pleasing to a songwriter than someone else doing one of their songs. Over this song, there’s been this incredible connection … he reached out … I believe that my poetry is really meant for everyone, no matter what age.
